II. Your rights

Depending on the data protection law that applies, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to processing and obtain a portable copy. You can withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis for it. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

You may raise a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. UK visitors can find information from the Information Commissioner’s Office. Visitors in Ireland can find information from the Data Protection Commission.

III. How information is used

Website operation and security

When you visit, your browser sends technical information needed to deliver the page, such as your IP address, browser details, the requested address and the time of the request. Hosting systems may process this information to operate the website, diagnose errors and protect it against misuse. The purpose is the reliable and secure operation of the service.

Country-based broker recommendations

We use your IP address to estimate your country and show the relevant broker recommendation. This lookup runs on our server using a local DB-IP database; it does not send your IP address to a geolocation service or store it for this purpose. Older links may save a broker preference cookie, used only when the location does not identify the UK or Ireland.

Reader access and essential cookies

The reader area uses session information to remember access and security measures to protect form submissions. These functions may use essential cookies. Information you submit when requesting access is used to send the confirmation and provide access to the reader resources.

Website chat

When you use the website chat, Supportwunder processes your messages, any contact details you provide and the technical information needed to deliver the conversation. A session identifier allows you to continue your chat. We use this information to answer your questions about the book and reader access. AI may help prepare reply drafts, which are reviewed by a person before sending. Please do not send passwords or payment details through the chat.

Reader emails and Kit

If you sign up for reader emails, your email address and any details you choose to provide are processed to send the confirmation, access information and the messages described on the signup form. The mailing service is Kit, formerly ConvertKit.

Kit may process signup details and technical information, including email delivery, opens and link interactions, depending on the mailing settings and your email software. These details help deliver and understand the use of the emails. Kit processes newsletter subscriber information under its Data Processing Addendum, which also describes international transfer arrangements. Its privacy notice covers information it processes for its own purposes.

Where you consent to reader emails, consent is the basis for sending them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting us. Essential records may be kept where necessary to respect your unsubscribe choice or meet legal obligations.

Contact by email

If you email us, your address and the content of your message are used to respond to your request. The information is kept only for as long as needed to handle the correspondence and any applicable legal requirements.

Fonts, icons and page libraries

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and style or script files from external content delivery networks, including jsDelivr and cdnjs. Your browser contacts these providers to obtain the files, which can disclose technical information such as your IP address and the requested resource.

Further information is available from Google, jsDelivr and Cloudflare.

Links to other providers

Links may take you to Amazon, Tradingcode, a broker or another independent website. Some links carry a referral identifier so the provider can attribute a visit or purchase. The destination may process information under its own privacy notice. An external provider receives information when you follow its link.

Retention and international processing

Information is retained for the purpose for which it was collected and for any applicable legal obligations. Some service providers process information outside your country. Their notices describe the locations, safeguards and choices relevant to their services.

For questions about the information held about you or to exercise your rights, use the contact address above.
